This feature documentary by Claire Pasvolsky is due for cinema release through Bonsai Films. The film reveals the Police life of Narelle Fraser, former Victoria Police Detective and "Queen of true crime podcasts". 'Fraser investigated some of Australia’s highest profile crimes. Her easy manner allowed her to gain rapport with many perpetrators, leading to their convictions… but it all came at a price. The constant daily exposure to horrific crime had a cumulative effect on her mental health. She hid the effects for 27 years, but after suffering panic and amnesia, she received a diagnosis of PTSD, which forced her discharge from the Police. THE POLICEWOMAN illustrates the crimes that caused her descent into hell, and the battle to claw her way out. Narelle’s positive outcome in this true crime feature will demystify the stigma of mental health and speak to millions of first responders around the world.
