This period feature film is based on Mandy Sayer’s incredible biography of three brilliant sisters, Australia's first female film makers. Trailblazing (and beautiful) sisters Isabel, Phyllis and Paulette McDonagh were the first women in Australia to form their own production company. Their first film ‘Those Who Love’ (1926) outdid Charlie Chaplin at the Australian box office, but their controversial film ‘Two Minutes Silence’ (1933) threatened to ruin them professionally and personally. It aggravated societal pressures, the male dominance of the industry in Australia and the Hollywood system, which colluded to destroy them. The sisters made a pact to never allow a man to destroy their bond, but after the tragic death of their parents, the sisters are forced to make life changing decisions that impact their destinies.
